I was making a double recipe of the original Nestlé Toll House chocolate chip cookie recipe. I immediately noticed it when I finished mixing the chocolate chips into the cookie dough. It was much stickier than I remembered it. I bake a decent number of cakes throughout the year, but since I typically reserve baking cookies exclusively for the holidays, it’s pretty much only an annual event.
